Prairie Creek HOA Board Meeting
Monday, April 11th, 2022

 

Attendance: Steve Strebel, Dale Nolden, Mark Aasve, Jon Yaskal, Kristy Baker, John Davenport

 

1.       Treasures Report

a.       Balance $10,821

b.       Website fee of $312 was auto paid

c.       Received insurance renewal for $2046.  It is due 5-06-22.

d.       13 neighbors still need to pay HOA fees.

2.       Entrance Sign

a.       Electrician has been contacted.  He needs to get meter from Alliant Energy and verify current electrical is still up to code.

3.       Storm Water

a.       Steve will reach out to solicit a group of 8-10 people living near the discharge areas to monitor the storm water catch basins for drainage.

4.       Welcome Basket

a.       Katie was not able to attend so no update on Welcome Basket.   We hope to start providing these to incoming neighbors soon.

5.       Newsletter        

a.       1st Newsletter went out on April 6th.  We received a few compliments and appreciation for the newsletter.  We will continue to gather information for future versions.  We already have a suggestion for a new section called “Meet your Neighbor”.

b.       With the Newsletter we sent along information regarding trimming trees on the terrace that have branches hanging into the sidewalks and roads.  A few neighbors have done some trimming.   We discussed our plans for neighbors who don’t perform trimming.  We will try to work with neighbors and village to make sure all our sidewalks are safe.

6.       Earth Day Cleanup

a.       Friday April 22nd is Earth Day.  We will be sending out an email asking people to use the weekend of the 22-24th to cleanup along the walking paths in our neighborhood.  There was also a suggestion to remind everyone to clean up after their pets along the walking paths.

7.       Neighborhood Meeting 5-9-22

a.       Our next board meeting will be a full neighborhood meeting.  We have this scheduled for Monday May 9th at 7:00 at Harvest Intermediate Cafeteria.  All neighbors are welcome to attend to ask questions, receive  updates, and provide feedback to the board.
